Everything about the new Reign Advanced E+ is designed to make it the best descending E-MTB ever. Built to Dominate Descents
This bike is designed for riders who demand maximum performance on aggressive downhill terrain. It features a refined Maestro suspension system with a newly integrated lower link, delivering 170mm of rear travel paired with a 180mm front fork. The result is one of Giant’s most capable descending e-bikes.
The Maestro system uses a floating pivot design that keeps the suspension active even while pedaling, ensuring efficient power transfer and consistent traction. Its progressive leverage curve allows the rear shock to remain highly responsive at the beginning of its travel while providing strong support toward the end of the stroke. This combination creates a smooth, plush feel that absorbs big impacts and makes full use of the suspension travel, giving riders confidence on steep descents, technical rock sections, and large drops.
Lightweight Yet Powerful Performance
Upgrading from a 36-volt to a 48-volt system improves overall efficiency while reducing heat and energy loss. The SyncDrive Pro 3 motor delivers 90Nm of torque and up to 800 watts of peak power, providing strong and consistent assistance even at higher pedaling cadences.
This powerful motor is paired with a lightweight composite frame, resulting in a total bike weight of approximately 22.3kg (size medium). The combination of reduced weight and increased power ensures strong climbing ability and responsive acceleration when you need it most.
The 48-volt system also reduces strain on the EnergyPak 560 battery, extending its lifespan to as many as 2,300 charge cycles, making it a durable and reliable power source for long-term riding.
Built-In Protection for Aggressive Riding
Designed to withstand demanding trails and repeated impacts, the bike includes several advanced protection features. A dual-density battery cover shields the integrated battery while also serving as a full-length protector along the underside of the down tube. This added protection is especially useful during transport on chairlifts, trailers, or truck tailgates.
An integrated titanium skid plate protects the motor from impacts and debris. Titanium offers exceptional strength and corrosion resistance while being significantly stronger than aluminum. Its smooth design also helps reduce friction when sliding over rocks or trail obstacles.
To further protect the drivetrain, the bike includes an MRP active bash guard with an elastomer damper and suspended design. This system provides superior protection for the chain and chainring while maintaining smooth and reliable performance on rough terrain.
